Sambit AI is a conversational AI assistant you can use free in your browser. It remembers what you tell it, looks things up when an answer needs to be current, and explains things properly rather than agreeing with everything you say.
Why it exists
Most AI chat tools forget you the moment a conversation ends. You re-explain your job, your stack, your situation, every single time. Sambit AI was built around the opposite assumption: that an assistant worth using should carry context forward the way a colleague does.
What makes it different
- It remembers. Durable details you share carry across conversations, and you can see and delete every one of them.
- It corrects you. When something you say is wrong, it says so and shows the right approach instead of flattering you.
- It looks things up. For anything time-sensitive it searches the web and cites what it used.
- It starts instantly. 15 messages as a guest, no account, no card.
Who built it
Sambit AI is built and maintained by Sambit Shreeram Sahoo, an independent developer based in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India. It is an independent project, not a product of any larger company.
How it is built
The web and mobile apps share a React Native codebase, the API is Node.js, and model access is routed through OpenRouter across several open-weight models. Sambit AI does not train its own model — it is built with Llama, alongside Google Gemma and open models from OpenAI and NVIDIA.
